Résumé
Ammonia absorption refrigeration/heat pump systems (ARS) can harness solar energy and low-grade heat sources to mitigate energy crises and environmental issues, while low coefficient of performance (COP) and large size hinder their application. Adding lithium bromide (LiBr) to ammonia-water (NH3-H2O) solution benefits the generation process and the enhancement of the COP, while it impedes the absorption process. To address these limitations, a titanium dioxide electrodialysis (TiO2-ED) ternary working fluid absorption system was proposed. In this study, the ED separation LiBr model for different TiO2 concentrations was established. Experiments were conducted to measure the coefficients in the model and verify the accuracy of the model. The results showed that
the LiBr separation capacity, the transfer amount of solution flow rate, and the power consumption decreased concomitantly, as TiO2 concentrations increased. Meanwhile, greater LiBr separation capacity and higher solution flow rate can be achieved at lower energy consumption by modifying the membrane parameters. Under specific operating conditions, the addition of TiO2 to the ED ternary working fluid of the ARS could enhance the system COP by 6.82%. Overall, these findings provide theoretical guidance for the synergistic enhancement of ternary working fluid absorption system performance by TiO2 and electrodialysis technology, and hold great significance for the popularization of absorption refrigeration/heat pump systems and the miniaturization of equipment.
