Résumé

The authors measured the speed of sound for HFO-1234yf in the gaseous phase on the basis of the acoustic resonance method using a spherical cavity. The sound speed can be determined by measuring the acoustic resonant frequency response in the spherical resonator. The sample gas is filled in the resonator, then a condenser microphone transmits audio frequency sound signal into the resonator. The sound wave propagating in the sample gas is detected by another condenser microphone and its amplifier and phase shift are measured with a lock-in-amplifier. The frequency of the sound wave is swiped by controlling a frequency synthesizer, so the resonant frequency response can be obtained. By correcting some perturbations such as the thermal boundary layer, the measurement uncertainty of the sound speed achieves better than 0.01%. Based on the measured sound speed data, the acoustic-virial equation was formulated and the isobaric heat capacity in ideal gas state was determined with a relative uncertainty of 0.1%.
