Résumé
The paper discusses the optimum design method of a single effect absorption cycle with the first and second law of thermodynamics. For the optimum design method, the evaluation function is COP for the first law of thermodynamics and exergy efficiency for the second law, and the point that COP or exergy efficiency is maximized is regarded as the optimum point. The simulation model of the single effect absorption cycle is described as nonlinear equations. COP and exergy efficiency can be derived from these nonlinear equations and the constraints within which the absorption cycle can be driven normally exist. Considering the nonlinearity of the simulation model and the constraints, the optimum design problem of the single effect absorption cycle can be led to the nonlinear constrained optimisation problem. This problem is analysed with the exterior penalty method, and success and failure method. As a result of the analysis, it was clarified that at the point that the temperature efficiencies of the evaporator, absorber, condenser and solution heat exchanger where the limited temperature efficiencies as constraints, COP or exergy efficiency was maximized, and the optimum solution outlet temperature at generator existed to maximize COP or exergy efficiency. Maximum COP is about 0.8 and maximum exergy efficiency is about 0.4 in the practical design point. And there is a small difference between these two optimum points.
