Résumé

The SSU-ALT procedure has been developed and demonstrated to be an improvement over the currently used IEEE Motorette Test and the various proprietary "plug-reversal" tests. Development is now complete. This report documents the development and validation of the improved test method. It is inclusive in that it contains critical information from prior reports so that it constitutes a stand-alone report. The body provides an overview of the theory and operation of the test, as well as presenting the validation test results and defining the statistical techniques used for their interpretation. The appendices contain additional specific information allowing the users of this report to construct and operate their own SSU-ALT test facilities if they desire.
