Résumé

The paper recognizes the accomplishments of Milton W. Garland, engineer and inventor and leader in the refrigeration industry, honored in 1998 by the President as the Oldest Working American. It touches on the history of the Frick Company, where Garland has worked for 78 years, focusing on his renovation of the Waynesboro Ice and Cold Storage plant, originally built in 1901.
