Mise à jour et enrichissement des données sur les frigoporteurs pour diverses applications frigorifiques et à pompe à chaleur.

Updating and extending secondary fluid data for various refrigeration and heat pump applications.

Auteurs : MELINDER Å.

Résumé

Indirect systems with secondary fluids (secondary refrigerants and brines) have long been used and making it possible to minimize the amount of primary refrigerant as well as problems from refrigerant leakage. Reliable basic thermophysical data and general knowledge of other secondary fluid properties are needed for choice of suitable fluid and for technical calculations of the system. Long time basic research with the aim to establish reliable thermophysical data resulted in an IIR publication (Melinder, 1997). Since then, work has been carried out to update and extend secondary fluid data for various applications, including high temperature values for glycols, up to 100°C, for solar applications. The list with secondary fluids has been increased to include water solutions of potassium formate and lithium chloride as options for very low temperatures. Property values for lower concentrations of the additive are given as an aid for ice-slurry applications. Equations for heat transport, heat transfer and pressure drop are presented in a simple way that covers most flow regions. The value of this can be seen with an Excel-program for simple technical calculations that is planned for the new publication, "Properties of secondary fluids for indirect systems".
