Modèle semi-empirique d'un compresseur à spirale à vitesse variable pour le R-290 en mettant l'accent sur le rendement et la transférabilité.
Semi-empirical model of a variable speed scroll compressor for R-290 with the focus on compressor efficiencies and transferability.
Résumé
The refrigeration industry faces two major challenges in the light of environmental protection: Replacement of harmful refrigerants and energy-optimisation of the refrigeration system operation. Harmful refrigerants can be replaced by natural ones and the optimisation of the system operation can be achieved by using compressor models. Therefore, a semi-empirical model for a variable speed scroll compressor for R-290 is derived here. The target values are the refrigerant mass flow, the discharge temperature and the power consumption as a function of the evaporation temperature, the condensation temperature, and the compressor speed. The calculation of the target values is based on physical laws, whereas the efficiencies required for the calculation are first determined empirically and then fitted by polynomials. The maximum model deviations are +3.2/-3 % for the volumetric efficiency, +1.9/-1.5 % for the isentropic efficiency, and ±3.4 % for the product of the electrical and mechanical efficiency, for 95 % of the operating points investigated. For the refrigerant mass flow, the discharge temperature and the power consumption, the maximum model deviations for 95 % of the operating points investigated are +1/-1.1 g·s−1, +0.6/-0.8 K and +55/-90 W, respectively. Applying the model to a reciprocating compressor and the refrigerant R-134a yields deviations of similar magnitudes. This, and the use of the empirical model for the extension of compressor polynomials of the manufacturers by a speed dependency for different compressors and refrigerants demonstrate the transferability of the model. Nevertheless, a validation for further compressors and an extension of the mapped range is recommended.
