Modèles de rapport de surface des échangeurs de chaleur pour la comparaison de frigorigènes.

Heat exchanger area ratio models for refrigerant comparison.

Résumé

This paper presents the development of a simple but effective heat exchanger area ratio model that can be used to determine the size of, say, an evaporator, to achieve the same capacity under certain conditions when switching refrigerants. The model also helps explaining the fundamental relationship between the size requirement and the refrigerant properties. Using a conventional heat transfer equation, the ratio of the required areas of two different refrigerants for a given capacity can be expressed as a function of various refrigerant properties such as liquid thermal conductivities and densities, and the mean temperature differences between the refrigerants and the heat transfer fluids. The model shows, due to their unique combinations of its thermodynamic properties, R134a, R290 and R410A require a slightly less area than R22, and explains why R407C requires a much smaller area due to the combined influence of refrigerant property and the temperature glide.
