Résumé

The paper covers the work being carried out at international level by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and the correlation between the national and international standards. The paper also looks into the energy conservation aspect and the emerging trends in energy efficiency in the Indian scenario. Further, it also highlights the requirements of ECO-labelling and energy efficiency labelling which is under consideration of India.
