Résumé

The centrifugal compressor was initially large sized and used for big cooling capacities. After significant development, these compressors are nowadays also available for medium-sized cooling capacities and applicable in the climate control and process cooling. Today, the dimensions are reduced. The innovative development of an expansion turbine is realized. The newly designed variable speed control results in a higher COP and makes successful application of the centrifugal compressor possible.
