Résumé

To reveal the mechanism of phase separation with the porous media, a numerical simulation is conducted to understand the gas breakthrough at the porous array structure. The working fluids are gaseous helium and liquid oxygen. The phase-field method is adopted to describe the gas-liquid interface. The influences of the structural parameters on the flow characteristics are examined. The results show that for the porous media with the in-line structure, both transit time and critical pressure increase as the array pitch increases. The translation distance has a significant impact on the flow dynamics of gas breakthrough. The flow in the pore located at the up-down solids gets strengthened with a staggered structure. As the translation distance increases, both transit time and critical pressure increase. The porosity and the tortuosity are calculated to analyze the critical pressure. Maximum dimensionless critical pressure occurs in the porous structure with minimum porosity and maximum tortuosity.
