Résumé

Points out that control of maintenance requires the design, implementation and use of a number of performance indicators by means of which its effectiveness can be continuously monitored. What is needed is the availability of good quality data so that meaningful indices can be designed, ones which point to the corrective measures which will improve the maintenance process. Shows what data to collect, how to design and present performance indicators and then what to do about continuous improvements.
