Résumé

Specifically, the influence of some thermal-hydraulic parameters on the heat flux and the overall heat transfer coefficient were investigated for evaporators using R134a, R407C and R410A, three new fluids that are being proposed to replace R22, an HCFC, currently the most common refrigerant used in residential and commercial air conditioning equipment. The latest results obtained from similar tests performed with R22 on the plate compact heat exchangers are also presented. Moreover, a new thermodynamical method was applied with the purpose of defining the saturation temperature and other main parameters of zeotropic mixtures for the fluids R407C and R410A. Finally, the overall performance of the refrigerant loop as a function of the process fluid was analyzed and the results obtained with R22 (the design fluid) and its potential substitutes were compared.
