Résumé

The use of inverse-cycle engines to drive electric power generators and inverse cycle machine compressors makes it possible to develop systems for the simultaneous production of electric power, heat and/or cold in order to satisfy the energy needs of a building. The foreseen savings of management costs are relevant both in energy and economic terms. However the possible options for the plant designer are numerous. Feasibility studies and computer simulations of building-plant system supply certainly significant evaluation criteria. But it is the monitoring of the real performances of the plant subsequently installed that enables formulation of the final optimal design choices. In this paper the long-term performances of an integrating heating-cooling cogeneration system, equipped with generators and reversible heat pumps driven by independent inverse-cycle engines, are presented and discussed.
