Performances de pompes à chaleur à ammoniac de 3,9 mégawatts thermiques dans une usine de cogénération pour chauffage urbain : état après 11 ans de fonctionnement.

Performances of a 3.9 thermal megawatt ammonia heat pump within a district heating cogeneration plant: status after 11 years of operation.

Résumé

A complex heating and cogeneration plant including ammonia heat pumps and gas turbines with heat recovery boilers and storage tanks has been in operation since 1986. This paper is a result of an experimental evaluation during the eleventh season of heating. Energy balances throughout the season are discussed as well as the performances of one fully equipped heat pump. Results confirm the interest of this type of technology combination. A certain drop in the performance is mainly attributed to a decrease in compressor efficiency, fouling in the evaporator, and presence of inert gases.
