The article introduces the progress of the heat pump in a system and control. It illustrates the application and the foreground of the air-source heat pump, urban wastewater heat pump, ground-source heat pump, ground-water heat pump, solar energy-heat pump and high temperature heat pump, and analyses the problems that appear in application. Research directions are pointed out.
