These 2-volume proceedings contain 50 papers (mostly in English; some are in French) presented at this IIR meeting held in Dresden, German Democratic Republic. Extract from the table of contents: Tome I: new developments, new solutions for components and installations created by the application of micro-electronics; comparison between conventionally automated components and installations with those ontrolled by micro-electronics; principles and methods for mathematically modelling the steady-state and dynamic behaviour of refrigeration components and installations. Tome II: saving of energy by applying optimum conditions to steady-state and dynamic behaviour of refrigeration components and installations; data acquisition, data processing and the application of process computers to rationalise the work of man in refrigeration techniques and heat pump technology.
