Le R227ea est un hydrofluorocarbure récemment introduit, disponible dans le commerce et utile dans la suppression des incendies, la production de froid, et dans les applications de propulsion et de stérilisation. L'article traite de la détermination de différentes propriétés physiques du R227ea, ainsi que l'adéquation des données expérimentales avec l'équation d'état de Martin-Hou.
