Résumé

The paper reviews the performance results of R404A with polyolester (POE) lubricant in transport refrigeration systems and the component modifications required to accommodate R404A and POE compressor oil. The laboratory test results of composition shifting during system operation in both ternary and quaternary blends of R404A in the liquid and vapour states are presented and discussed.
