Résumé

Simultaneous heating and cooling heat pumps (SHCHPs) have been widely applied to various buildings owing to their excellent part load performance and energy-saving potential. However, unwanted noise is generated by passing through electronic expansion valves (EEVs) in SHCHPs. This study proposes a novel control logic for reducing the flow-induced noise through EEVs based on experiments. The flow-induced noise through EEVs was measured and analyzed considering the degree of subcooling, differential pressure between indoor unit and evaporation (ΔPindoor), EEV opening speed (Vo), and opening (Oeev) during the switching mode in an SHCHP. A novel control logic was proposed using the initial EEV opening (Oeev,i) and the relationship between Oeev and Vo. At the optimal control point,, the difference between the peak sound pressure level (SPL peak) and average SPL decreased by 46.2%, and the converging time for ΔPindoor to 0 increased by 17.8% compared with those of the baseline.
