Résumé

Increased interest in saving energy due to rising energy prices has led to improved awareness of energy-saving control and management systems for HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning). Today, many traditional control systems in buildings save 20-40% of the energy demand. This is a step in the right direction but can be improved upon. A new technology using local weather forecasts has been developed and demonstrated in Sweden, which may help promote more efficient energy use.
