Résumé

By scheduling the parameters affecting air conditioning plant operation to match the anticipated load it is possible to achieve significant reductions in plant operating costs. Recent improvements in the numerical weather prediction systems used by the Bureau of Meteorology will soon make possible provision, to end users in all Australian capital cities, of on-line weather prediction data with high spatial and temporal resolution. The authors examine the concept of using such data to tune a plant operation schedule adaptively and so to optimise control of air quality and minimise operating costs.
