Résumé

A source of contamination bypasses HEPA installations with every surgical procedure performed in the operating room. That source of contamination is the surgical staff themselves, and the previously settled particles stirred up by their movement. Since a HEPA filter cannot control this source, and bioaerosols given off by the surgical staff are exuded continually during the procedure, we must turn to air motion control to maximize air asepsis.
