Remplacement du R134a par des fluides à faibles PRP dans un système de conditionnement d’air.

Low GWP fluids for replacing R134a in an air-conditioning system.

Résumé

Phasing-out of R134a is an on-going process due to its high GWP (Global Warming Potential). However, most of the R134a systems have performance degraded when the refrigerant is replaced. Recently, researchers started to look for refrigerant blends which have the similar thermophysical properties as R134a. The mixtures could be charged directly into a system designed for R134a with no or a few modifications. This paper proposes a method to evaluate the performance of an Air-Conditioning system running with low GWP fluids with emphasis on the design of the microchannel heat exchanger. Eight fluids have been selected and compared. R1234yf and R456A have similar performance to R134a. R456A, R513B, and R513A have higher cooling capacity than R134a. R515A and R1234ze(E) have high COP than R134a. This research does not find the fluid which has both higher capacity and higher COP than R134a.
