Résumé
The Osaki 1-chrome District Heat Service has provided heating and cooling to offices, commercial, residential and other buildings using turbo refrigerators (mainly heat-recovery types) since January 1999. Its 10 000 m3 heat storage tanks, the largest in Japan, enable it to produce 76% of its thermal energy supply using inexpensive night-time power. 97% of the heat supply is also provided using heat recovery.
