Résumé

These abstracts and posters cover a wide range of cryobiological domains including: cell membranes and ice nucleation, cryosurgery in the treatment of carcinoma of the lung, pretreatment of cardiac arrhythmias, a 3-dimensional in vitro cryoinjury model, cryoanalgesia used for thoracotomy pain, multi-probe cryosurgery, glass crystallization in cryosurgery, cryotherapy, cryosurgery in the 21st century, passive loading of trehalose into cells, scaling up preservation by desiccation, plant freezing behaviour, Monte Carlo simulation of ice formation, reversible self-polymerizing high Tg lyoprotectants, the cryobiology of reproductive cells, organ, tissue, and all preservation, and low-temperature biomedical engineering.
