Rôle de la zone de latence avant établissement de l'écoulement diphasique des frigorigènes dans un capillaire.

Effect of delay length at the onset of two-phase flow of refrigerant in capillary tube.

Résumé

This work is confined to the design of straight capillary tubes. Actual vapour bubble formation takes place at a longer tube length than predicted by thermodynamic equilibrium conditions. A transition zone has been denoted by delay length, which occurs when the refrigerant enters into the two-phase region from the liquid region. Delay length plays a very important role. The delayed formation of the actual first bubble results in metastability and is responsible for the development of a transition zone at the onset of flash point. The delay length, as dealt in this paper, is a measure of such a transition zone. The paper discusses the effect of input parameters on delay length. Adiabatic slug flow of CFC-12 with no heat exchanger has been considered.
