Résumé

In applications of preventive conservation (archives, museums, libraries…) special climate requirements are present. Furthermore these applications are often located inside of historical buildings, where the installation of modern HVAC systems is not possible. Hence, there are only simple ventilation and air conditioning systems available to design the indoor climate. The monitoring, the analysis, the control and the need of predicting the indoor climate may be done with high tech methods of control and information technologies. To reduce costs of these systems and grant central access to the collected data web-based technologies will be suitable. As a result a professional, centralized management and analysis of measured data is possible. Furthermore this structure offers a high scalability for additional applications. These concepts are already well studied and developed in the area of automation process control in industry and also may be applied in the area of climate management in preventive conservation. This paper will present the structure of a central data management system with its components to observe and analyze the data, to control actuators adapting indoor climate values and giving decision support to the local staff. Furthermore some examples of applications will be presented later.
