Résumé
The interest in air-conditioning systems has become prevalent in the last decade, due to the increase of this market. A consequence is the problem of the large growing of the electrical energy needs during the warm months, since the traditional systems with compression cooling cycles are the most diffuse technology for the air conditioning. An alternative solution is the use of absorption cooling machines based on H2O/LiBr or NH3/H2O. This technology can be especially used when free energy sources are present, like solar energy or residual energy due to processes. In this work a solar system activating an absorption chiller is analyzed. This system is coupled with radiant ceiling elements for the summer air conditioning of residential buildings. This paper is the first part of a research for evaluating radiant systems assisted by solar collectors (heating and cooling). For the simulations of the building and the plant the tool TRNSYS has been used, while the software HEAT2 has been used for evaluating the performance of the radiant ceiling element for detailed reference conditions.
