Résumé

Extensive use of large reversible Heat Pumps is essential to meet European triple-20 targets and to comply with Lot1 Ecolabel requirements. Bigger challenges are ahead of system manufacturers and system designers in order to assure energy efficient solutions and top level comfort for building occupants at the right applied cost. Reduction of primary energy consumption, running costs and CO2 emissions in addition to a better and higher use of renewable energy are fundamental targets to achieve and heat pumps have been indicated by the RES directive as one of the best technologies to achieve all this. Emerson Climate Technologies with its range of heating optimized scroll compressors has always been in the foreground for the supply of technological advanced solutions for residential and commercial heat pumps. This paper gives an overview of the new Copeland Commercial Heating and Comfort Scroll range for R410A, applied in several system simulations for commercial buildings that compare the total life cycle cost and the environmental impact of various solutions in various climates.
