These proceedings contain approximately 80 papers presented at this conference, sponsored by the IIR, held in Bled, Slovenia, June 11-14, 2000. Extract from the table of contents: fundamentals; numerical; measurement; energy systems (application of a design code for estimating fouling on-line in a power plant condenser refrigerated by sea water); phase change; enhanced heat transfer; equipment; heating, refrigerating and air conditioning (use of screw machines as a throttle valve replacement in refrigeration plants; investigation of cooling loads in high-rise residential buildings in Hong Kong; single stage absorption system based on absorption/compression heat pump for air conditioning); environmental. Volume 2 contains all abstracts with addresses and e-mails of the authors as well as some full papers, which were presented at the conference, but were not published in the proceedings.
