Résumé

A TABS is considered to be an energy-efficient HVAC system. To reduce and shift the peak load of an HVAC system, it is important for building designers and planners to establish an operation strategy based on the fundamental characteristics data of a TABS, which include the time-lag effect and thermal output. This study focuses on an optimized operation strategy for a TABS applied to the Ewha Campus Complex (ECC) in Soul, South Korea. For this purpose, we suggest an operation strategy according to the building’s heating and cooling load characteristics. Furthermore, having analyzed the load characteristics of that campus building, we use those characteristics to determine the load zones. At the same time, we calculate the heating and cooling output of a TABS according to various supply water temperatures using a heat transfer analysis simulation. As a result, we arrive at the suggested optimized operation strategy as classified by load zones.
