Résumé

Chilled water storage finds its most significant niche in district cooling applications. District cooling systems have a tendency to change with time, experiencing growth both in connected load and geographic extent. The paper discusses the most significant benefits of district cooling and how they are enhanced by thermal storage, including the function of chilled water storage in the development of new district cooling systems and the expansion of existing systems.
