Résumé

According to this concept, the sensible load of the building is treated using chilled ceilings, while the latent load and the need for ventilation are accomplished by desiccant cooling driven by low-grade heat. The simulation results reveal that the yearly energy savings of a chilled ceiling, combined with a desiccant cooling system, could amount to 30-40% with improved thermal comfort, in comparison with a traditional all-air system.
