Résumé

Generally, a natural ventilation system is applied to residences as basic ventilation, while a mechanical ventilation system is installed in some specific rooms. However, an integrated ventilation system, which can remove humidity and VOC generated by interior finishes, has been required recently, because the performance of the heat insulation and airtightness of the buildings was improved. In particular, the author installs a mechanical ventilation system operated continuously all day long in apartments in high-rise apartment buildings, because most of the units are placed to open on to the corridors located in the core areas, making it difficult to get sufficient fresh air flow.
