Résumé

The design and operation of air conditioners, air ventilation and air exchange systems for large spaces, such as cinemas, theatres, concert halls, etc. raise special problems. Some important aspects are pointed out that should be considered during the design phases, rather than describing special equipment. The problems associated with basic heating and/or cooling, the effects of rapid load changes, and possibilities for solving draught phenomena are special topics of discussion.
