Systèmes de refroidissement à adsorption au Japon : recherche et développement.

R&D on adsorption cooling systems in Japan.

Auteurs : YANAGI H.

Résumé

In Japan, R&D on adsorption heat pumps, especially for cooling, has been conducted in university and corporate laboratories. Most of the work is aimed at waste heat recovery from low temperatures of 60 to 80 °C. Notice that two companies have commercialized adsorption cooling systems using water/silica-gel pairs with cooling powers of 70 to 350 kW. Now an investigation is concentrated on developing machines which can be worked at lower heat source as 40 to 50 °C using new advanced cycles. In addition a new trial has also been studied using an ethanol/activated charcoal pair.
