Résumé

Hybrid ventilation systems apply both passive and active driving forces for building ventilation. Passive ones utilize wind force and stack effect due to the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor air. Active ones utilize mechanical force driven by electricity. The aim of such systems is to achieve a high-quality indoor environment, with the least possible impact on the global environment. In this special issue, for the purpose of contributing to good understanding and promotion of the hybrid ventilation system throughout the whole nation, the latest state of the art, application examples, and related key natural ventilation technology, are introduced.
