These proceedings contain 146 papers (117 in Slovak, 29 in English) of this conference, held in Bratislava, Slovakia, on November 22, 2001. Main themes: Volume I: Plenary session lectures (simulation and experimental techniques for ventilation and air conditioning; refrigeration and air conditioning: regulatory issues and technical trends; heat pumping technologies); thermal power engineering and environmental techniques (computational simulation of refrigerant properties using a new equation of state; compressors used in household refrigerators and freezer cabinets; control of parameters of interior environment with thermal comfort; unsteady heat transfer in the cross-flow heat exchanger; performance analysis of absorption refrigeration cycles by computer simulation; separation and destruction technologies in CFCs in insulating foams); hydraulic machinery and equipment; process engineering; transporting technology.
