Résumé

Waste coming from the food industry, vegetable and animal sectors is generally of variable humidity depending on factors which define the generation source. Burning of these types of waste is possible on a grate with a reversed pushing system with a rotary drying brake drum. For this system, the characteristic temperature of the burning gases will be fixed under the value of 2750°C, which is the threshold temperature for the gasification process. The drying period will take less then 60 minutes. The burning system which uses an initial drying phase can compete economically with any other waste management system.
