Tendances et expériences des pompes à chaleur résidentielles au Japon.

Trends and experiences in residential gas heat pumps in Japan.

Auteurs : YOSHIDA S.

Résumé

During the four years from fiscal year 1992 to fiscal year 1995, the Japan Gas Association worked on the development of practical technology for residential gas air conditioners. Four gas utilities and eleven HVAC manufacturers participated in this project, working on ten subjects relating to four different types of air conditioning systems. For each subject, the HVAC manufacturers aimed to develop units considerably smaller and lighter than conventional gas cooling units, using techniques considered technically feasible. In the final year of the project, development of three of the subjects was sufficiently far advanced to allow field tests to be carried out nationwide. The paper profiles the four-year development.
