Résumé
Helmholtz resonators are commonly integrated at the compressor discharge port to suppress low-frequency gas pulsation and radiated noise through resonance effects. However, such resonators face a critical challenge in the synergistic optimization between acoustic performance and compressor energy efficiency. A fundamental tradeoff exists between the large cavity volume required for effective low-frequency noise attenuation and the significant degradation of the Coefficient of Performance (COP) induced by excessive additional clearance volume. To overcome this conflict, this study systematically investigates the theoretical modeling, performance optimization, and forward design of high-performance resonators. A coupled multi-loss acoustic model is established by
correcting the inertial and dissipative end-lengths of the neck, enabling accurate prediction of key acoustic parameters with a resonance frequency error below 5%. Using large-sample experiments and principal component analysis (PCA), the inherent exclusivity between the sound absorption coefficient and transmission loss (TL) is revealed, verifying TL as the core optimization index for side-branch silencing and identifying the optimal structural configurations. A forward design method is further proposed by combining acoustic cavity modal analysis and particle swarm optimization (PSO). By minimizing the structural volume while preserving TL performance, the optimized single-neck resonator achieves noise reductions of 2.8 dB at 120 Hz and 4.2 dB at 140 Hz. More importantly, the 67.2% reduction in clearance volume effectively eliminates the efficiency loss caused by excess volume expansion, thereby maintaining the COP. This work provides a feasible and scalable solution for the coordinated control of compressor noise and energy efficiency.
