Thermodynamique des refroidisseurs à tube à pulsation.

Thermodynamics in pulse tube coolers.

Auteurs : WEI D., LUO E.

Résumé

Oscillating flow based thermal systems include pulse tube coolers, Stirling coolers, and thermoacoustic engines, etc. Theories such as linear thermoacoustics have been developed to explain the working mechanism. However, there are still some basic theoretical points that need to be clarified. From the viewpoint of thermodynamics, this article mainly focuses on the mechanism of cooling power generation in a Stirling type pulse tube cooler. A special method of switching between the Eulerian and Lagranian viewpoints is also introduced, which turns a possibly difficult analysis from one viewpoint into a much easier and clearer one from the other viewpoint. By doing this, some previous misleading concepts or theories are clarified and a relatively unified thermodynamic picture of what happens inside the pulse tube cooler and other oscillating flow systems is established, which may lead to a better qualitative understanding of the systems.
