Résumé

Preliminary experimental data obtained in time of research project realization directed to achieve heat transfer and friction factor characteristics of single-phase water flow through a circular, internally micro-finned, horizontal tube fitted with twisted tape inserts (continuous or segmented) were presented. Experimental apparatus and procedure were described. The test section was a concentric double pipe heat exchanger. The experiments of fluid flow heat transfer and pressure drop inside tubes has been carried out, for the cases when enhanced heat transfer effects were achieved with the use of twisted tape inserts together with internally micro-finned tubes. The experimental investigations were conducted with measurements of temperature and liquid flow rate. The work has been continued for tubes with segmented inserts.
