Résumé

This study investigated the condensation heat transfer coefficients (HTCs) of binary refrigerant mixtures of R1234yf and R32 in multiple horizontal circular minichannels with an inner diameter of 0.81 mm. The experiments were conducted using R1234yf/R32 mixtures (50/50 and 65/35 mass%) at mass velocities of 50–400kgm-2s-1 and an average of dew- and bubble-point temperature of 40 °C. The HTCs of the mixtures increased with increasing mass velocity, and decreased with the increase in the R1234yf composition. The HTCs of the mixtures were equal to or 20% lower than those of R1234yf, and up to 60% lower than those of R32. The applicability of the correlations for condensation heat transfer in minichannels and multiport tubes was evaluated. The correlation, which were proposed based on the data in multiple minichannels and corrected for mixtures, showed relatively good agreement with the obtained HTCs with mean absolute percentage error of 12%, however overestimated the HTCs at low mass velocity.
