Résumé

The air-side heat transfer from wire-and-tube heat exchangers of the kind widely used in small refrigeration appliances has been studied. Radiation and free-convection components have been separately investigated. The proposed analysis is suitable either to determine the heat transfer performance of an existing (already sized) exchanger or to design a new one for prescribed heat duty and working temperatures.
