Résumé

The article states that for heating and air conditioning the formulation of general specifications for the selection and optimization of a given technology implies the prior definition of reference buildings. To this end the article presents a typology of French office buildings and describes representative buildings. A bibliography covering buildings from 1975 to 1993 is also supplied.
