Un modèle co-continu de conductivité thermique effective.

A co-continuous model of effective thermal conductivity.

Résumé

A new fundamental structural model for effective conductivity of heterogeneous materials where all phases are mutually continuous is developed. The new model is complementary to the effective medium theory (EMT) model where phases are mutually dispersed and has a relationship between effective conductivity and volume fraction that is very distinctive and different to the existing fundamental structural models (i.e. series, parallel, two forms of Maxwell-Eucken, EMT). Composite models derived by combining the 6 fundamental models using simple combinatory rules appear to cover most of physical structures of commonly used heterogeneous materials. Specifically, the co-continuous and EMT composite model was found to accurately predict the effective thermal conductivity of ice chips packed in air.
