Un passage en revue du transfert de chaleur d'ammoniac dans les applications à ébullition.

A survey of ammonia heat transfer in boiling applications.

Auteurs : SPINDLER K.

Résumé

Historically, ammonia has proved to be an excellent refrigerant with good thermodynamic and transport properties. Ammonia has been used as a refrigerant in large industrial applications for many years. There is a great interest in the use of ammonia in smaller systems. The accurate knowledge of the heat transfer behaviour in pool boiling on single tubes and tube bundles, in flow boiling and the influence of oil allows a more precise thermal design and optimization of evaporators. Finned tube heat exchangers with flow boiling inside smooth or microfin tubes are used for air heated evaporators. These evaporators are operated at low mass fluxes and low heat fluxes. Plate heat exchangers and sprayed tube bundles are used as evaporators for ammonia to reduce the refrigerant inventory of the plant. An overview on the heat transfer behaviour of boiling ammonia under pool boiling conditions is given, the influence of surface geometry (smooth, microfin, coated) and oil is discussed and experimental results and prediction methods are presented.
