Résumé

At the heart of the refrigerator a hollow cylindrical tube 60 centimeters long is filled with xenon gas and fitted at one end with a Helmholz resonator that reflects sound waves emitted into the cylinder from a speaker at the other end. The sound waves compress and decompress the gas mixture, which heats up when compressed and cools when decompressed. The heat is syphoned off into an interceptor device to create a temperature differential translated by heat exchangers into energy for refrigeration. The refrigerator is designed to be no noisier than existing models.
